Introduction
This article provides troubleshooting steps for network configuration failures in the Dreamehome App. Follow the guidance below to identify and resolve issues at each stage of the setup process.
Please check as follows:
Step 1:
(1)Please avoid configuring the network on multiple phones at the same time.
(2)Please check if the device's hotspot is on. You can return to the "Device Reset" page and reset the device according to the text prompts. The hotspot will be automatically turned on.
Step 2:
(1)Please check if the "location permission" of the Dreamehome App has been enabled. You can find the corresponding APP in the phone's "settings" page and enter to enable it.
(2)Please check if the "local network" permission of the Dreamehome App has been enabled. You can find the corresponding APP in the phone's "settings" page and enter to enable it.
(3)Please check if the version of the Dreamhome App is the latest version.
Step 3:
(1)If a dual-band router is used at home, and the router emits two different Wi-Fi hotspot names, please ignore the 5G band Wi-Fi hotspot signal on the phone and make sure the phone is connected to the 2.4G hotspot.
(2)Please check if the input Wi-Fi network name and password are correct. If there are any errors, please modify them in time.
(3)It is recommended to use a combination of English letters and numbers for the network name and password, and avoid using special characters and Chinese.
(4)Please check if the router is set to "not allow other devices to join" or MAC address blocking. It is recommended to reset the settings and configure the network again.
(5)Networking does not support VPNs or proxy servers.
(6)Networks that require web authentication and authentication are not supported.
(7)The device does not support routers with hidden hotspot names. The Wi-Fi hotspot name must be visible and recognizable by the phone to be successfully connected.
Conclusion
If the problem remains after completing all steps, test the device with a mobile hotspot (one phone sharing, another connecting). If it works, the issue is with your Wi-Fi; if not, it may be a hardware problem and further support is needed.
