1️⃣If you are encountering a "Fails to connect to the network" error, please follow this step-by-step troubleshooting guide.
①Enable Phone Permissions:
In your smartphone's settings, make sure that GPS (or Location Services) and Bluetooth are both turned on.
②Check Your Wi-Fi Network Details:
Confirm you are connected your phone to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network. Our purifiers do not support 5 GHz networks for the initial setup.
③Double-check that you have entered the correct Wi-Fi name (SSID) and password.
④Review Advanced Router Settings:
Certain router settings can block new devices. Please check your router's configuration and temporarily disable features like:
Hide SSID (hidden network)
MAC Address Filtering (whitelists/blacklists)
VPN or any special firewall settings.
⑤Isolate the Issue with a Mobile Hotspot:
To test if the problem is with your home network, create a 2.4 GHz mobile hotspot using another phone. If the purifier connects to the hotspot successfully, the issue is likely with your home router's settings.
2️⃣If the app prompts "Cannot connect to dreame-airPurifier_xxx" or "Unable to connect to dreame-airPurifier_xxx",please follow these steps to do troubleshooting.
①Ensure the Purifier is in Wi-Fi Pairing Mode:
The purifier must be broadcasting its own Wi-Fi signal. To activate this, press and hold Infomation switch the physical button located under the screen for 5 seconds until you see a Wi-Fi icon on the screen (as shown in the reference image).
②Go to your smartphone's Wi-Fi settings page.
③Look for a network named "dreame-airPurifier_xxx" in the list of available networks.
④Tap to connect to it. (Your phone may warn you that this network has no internet; this is normal and expected.)
⑤Once connected, immediately return to the Dreame Home app to allow it to complete the setup.
