"The B312US connects to your phone via Bluetooth (BLE). The effective Bluetooth communication range is approximately 10 meters (33 feet), but the actual range may be affected by the following factors:
Factors affecting Bluetooth range:
- Whether there are obstacles such as walls or metal doors between the phone and the door lock—metal doors can significantly block Bluetooth signals.
- Differences in the performance of your phone’s Bluetooth chip.
- Interference from other Bluetooth devices in the vicinity.
- Whether your phone is in power-saving mode.
About Remote Control:
- The B312US does not support direct Wi-Fi connectivity, so it cannot be operated remotely via the internet.
- If you need remote unlocking functionality, you can achieve this via Apple HomeKit: Add the door lock to Apple Home and connect it to an Apple Home Hub (such as Apple TV, HomePod, or iPad) to enable remote control via the Apple Home app or Siri (see FAQs #41 and #51).
Tips for optimizing Bluetooth connectivity:
- Ensure that Bluetooth is enabled on your phone and that it is not connected to too many devices.
- If a metal door is causing signal attenuation, try operating the lock from inside the door.
- Keep both your phone’s Bluetooth driver and the Dreame NAVO app updated to the latest versions."
