Possible reasons:
The color/darkness of the threshold can affect the robot's recognition system. Dark colors, such as black, may interfere with the robot's light‑based sensors or image recognition module, causing incorrect judgment of the threshold height. For example, a darker color may cause the sensor to misjudge distance or height, which explains why you are seeing that a high threshold (>6 cm) is mistakenly identified as passable, while a low threshold (<4.2 cm) is mistakenly identified as impassable.
Solution to this issue:
You can manually adjust the threshold area using the map editing function in the Dreame app. Open the corresponding app for your robot vacuum, find the map editing entry on the home screen (usually located in the settings or function menu), enter the map editing page, locate the threshold area marker, and then follow the prompts to adjust the height or other parameters as needed.
