What to do if the dust-collection port or duct is clogged by hair?

If the auto-empty sound becomes high-pitched or debris is visible in the short hose, follow the steps below to restore full airflow.

 

Step 1 – Empty the dust-bin after every high-hair cycle to reduce bulk entering the station.
Step 2 – Disconnect the short hose from the station; tap it gently over a bin to dislodge electro-statically stuck hair.
Step 3 – Wipe the inside of the dust-collection port with a dry micro-fibre cloth to remove fine dust film.
Step 4 – Re-attach hose until both ends click; run a manual empty to confirm suction is restored.
