Possible reasons for the robot spinning in place:
- The current environment differs significantly from the mapping environment, or there are obstacles blocking the surroundings. Typically, this occurs when the robot leaves the base station or encounters many obstacles nearby – it will rotate in place for positioning or self‑check, and then resume normal cleaning. These are normal behaviors.
- The drive wheels or the universal wheel are jammed or tangled with foreign objects.
- The Laser Distance Sensor(LDS), Bumper Window, or other sensors (such as Edge sensors, cliff sensors, etc.) are obstructed by dirt or are malfunctioning.
- The charging contacts on the robot or the base station are dirty, the power cord is not properly connected, or the base station switch is not turned on.
If you encounter the issue of the robot spinning in place, you can follow these troubleshooting steps:
Before cleaning, tidy up small, low‑lying items on the floor (e.g., cables, socks, small toys) to help the robot avoid obstacles and clean more smoothly.
Check and clean the Main wheels, side brushe, or the Omnidirectional wheel.
Inspect and clean the sensors on the robot.

If you encounter the issue of the robot failing to return to the dock, you can follow these troubleshooting steps:
- Make sure both ends of the power cord of the base station are firmly plugged in, the socket is powered on, and the rocker switch is turned on.
After powering off, wipe the metal contacts on the base station and the charging contacts on the robot, and adjust the alignment between the robot and the base station to ensure good conductive contact.
